Yeah!! Is this for real???

That was all I could say in response to my appointment today...

I wish I could gather all of you who have prayed, supported, laughed, worried and faced this journey with me, into my living room to tell you in person what today's appointment was like for me. I was scared today and was fully prepared for things to have changed for the worse (I don't know why, I am neurotic right now). I kept praying all week that the baby was still big today and measuring ahead, I just knew the size would only help the baby if born early. Well, well, well...the wonderful tech doing my ultra sound gets done measuring the baby and says "wait that can't be right, I have to redo this", my eyes are searching the screen and I am like "what, is it OK" and she says "yes but I just got 5lbs 5 oz and there is no way the baby is that big, let me do this again", she proceeds to remeasure everything and goes "OK you have a huge baby, the baby was 5lbs 2 oz and measuring 35 weeks and 2 days"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is laughing and my mother and I are too, I am thinking well this is good, the bigger the better. Then she goes to measure my cervix and the first number I see is 4.2 and then she does it again and I see 3.8 and she measures again and it is 3.8 and she goes "wow this is wonderful, you look perfect" I was like wait, I was 2.8 last week, how is that possible and she said oh it can regain it's length and it did, it is apparently a muscle that can fluctuate. She leaves to get Dr. K and I feel like I am in the twilight zone, he walks in somewhat laughing and says "Katie, Katie, Katie, I told you everything was going to be OK" then he proceeds to tell me that the baby is apparently taking ALL of my nutrients, - side note here - I haven't gained 1 pound in 5 weeks so it isn't like I am a caboose here and actually I have really leveled out to be on track for what they like you to gain - Dr. K said I am going to need you to start getting up more in the mornings and walking around (not exercising but getting up and about), apparently the bed rest is giving the baby more than it needs of my nutrition. He was laughing about this and I am thinking, thank God I am not going to term or no way am I delivering without a c-section. He said everything looks great and he wants me to be up more in the mornings and laying down in the afternoon and pretty much taking it easy in the evenings. He said in two weeks I can do WHATEVER I want!!!!!!! I honestly felt like I had an out of body experience and like I was listening to him talk to someone else. I have never been so relieved in my whole entire life. All of the sudden I truly feel it is all going to be OK and we are going to make it close if not all the way to full term with this baby! I am so excited to be able to really enjoy the end of this pregnancy and to be able to not just lay here for 5 more weeks, I was so sad to feel like I couldn't get up and enjoy the rest of this time, I would have done it but I would much rather feel a a little more normal! SO can you even believe it, what an incredible way to end the week! Jeff and I are having a date tonight to celebrate 32 weeks, an awesome appointment and to finally get out of the house!!
Thank you all for the prayers...they are all being answered!

Yes, Katie, I can "BELIEVE" it. God is so good. He tells us to ask and believe and it shall be given. We asked, we believed and now it is being given. We all should be celebrating tonight on your and Jeff's behalf. I am praising God, hallelujah!
