Another successful check up!

Today was another great appointment with Dr. Korotkin. I was a little nervous today since I knew they were checking everything and I hadn't been feeling great the past few days. However, the girls all looked wonderful. Poor Emma is getting smashed at the bottom by Kelsey so it took awhile to get a good view of her. Emma measured 17 weeks and 7oz, again ahead of where I am. Kelsey measured 16 weeks and 2 days and 6 oz which was right where I am and Lauren measured exactly the same as Emma, 17 weeks and 7 oz. Dr. K said and I quote "your kids look fantastic!" It is such a relief to hear that. They also checked my cervix to make sure the pressure wasn't making me start to dilate and it looked great, they will check that at every appointment as well now. The only real issue I am having right now is horrible back pains, it feels like someone has hammered my tailbone. Dr. K had me fitted for a maternity support belt yesterday to help take some of the pressure off my back. Let me tell you how beautiful this belt is, thank goodness nobody will really be able to tell. The doctor believes the pressure of the babies, the existing scar tissue I have in my stomach and lifting Katelyn are all contributing to the back pain. I was also really encouraged to slow down with Katelyn, he said to lift her as little as possible (he definitely doesn't know my daughter) but was very understanding of the fact that I have to take care of her. I am going to try and start getting some extra help with her on the days she isn't in school. I also have to stop all the extra house work, I think that will help too. Anyways, all in all everything is going great.

I did forget to report from my meeting with the nutritionist last week, it went really well. She gave me some great ideas of different foods to eat as well as a good protein powder to have twice a day, it contains 20 grams of protein. I am supposed to be getting at least 100 grams of protein a day and eating every 2 hours regardless of hunger, to some that sounds like a dream, to me - I am so sick of eating all day long. But I will continue to pack it on for the girls.

We did complete Katelyn's new room this past week-end and I must say it turned out absolutely adorable. I think she loves being in there too, she gets to the top of the stairs and runs to her room to play. She is sleeping great in there and didn't seem to care since all her things were moved. She has been a little under the weather the past few days so she is home from school today. I will enjoy a low key day at home with her.
We listed the car last week and have already had one person look and have had a few emails and calls so I am hopeful it will sell fast. The car is in immaculate condition and I am so sad to see it go. Please let me know if anyone is interested in a Lexus RX300, it truly is a great car and looks like new. Jeff and I were looking at minivans this week-end and I pulled out of the parking lot to test drive one, I look over to my right and there is Jeff pushing Katelyn in her hot pink stroller with the pink diaper bag over his shoulder (here i was in a minivan) and all I could do was laugh at our life and how incredibly exciting and amazing it is going to be from here on out.
Above is my belly this week, all I can do is laugh when Jeff takes these pictures and I promise one day to take the picture when I am not ready for bed, I really do get made up and dressed during the day.

Thanks for checking in with us, we are all doing great. All the prayers are being heard because the girls couldn't have looked better yesterday.
Love,
Katie, Jeff and Katelyn

I can't imagine what it's like to have more than one in there. WOW. That's an awesome report from Dr. K. GREAT NEWS! Good luck taking it easy! I know that's hard too. You're looking good. Hang in there MOM!

How exciting. Glad you had a great doctor's appointment and the girls are just a growing!

I see a snoogle in the background!!! I don't think I will be able to give it up after I have Jamie... I LOVE that pillow and so does Daryl. He takes it over when I get up in the mornings to get ready for work. :-)

You look GREAT!!! I am one of Lori's best friends, and I am so happy you started blogging! What an incredible blessing God has in store for your family! You are in my thoughts and prayers. Take care of that little trio! :) PS I introduced Lori to the "snoogle" gotta LOVE it! I was so excited to get mine back out -- my hubby wouldn't let me keep it out after our son was born. he called it the boyfriend because he said it felt like we had a 3rd person in the bed! LOL!

Katie,
The picture of "peanut" on the staircase reminds me so much of your Mom and the picture she has from Daytons when she was young. I am so glad all my nieces are doing so well. When I was pg with all the girls I had really bad back problems and found that laying on the floor with no pillow would help,of course I never had three fighting for room..
Know that you are in my prayers and I love you all so much..
