Another amazing appointment with the high risk!

Sorry it has taken me so long to post today, it ended up being a busy afternoon with a teething 15 month old...

My appointment with Dr. Korotkin couldn't have gone better. All three girls looked perfect and they are definitely girls! Lauren measured 11oz and the twins measured 8 and 10oz which is great. There is no sign at all of Twin to Twin transfusion as the fluid and blood flow looks perfect for each baby. Today was the most thorough scan we have ever had - measuring the four chambers of the heart, the brain, stomach, liver, femur and arm bones - it was amazing. The girls were very active and the heartbeats were 163, 160 and 160. Even better my cervix measured 3.7 and Dr. Korotkin said it was so great he wished he could pass that on to some other patients - I have never prayed so much for a long and closed cervix - YEAH! I asked about the pressure and he said it is common, I have to wear that maternity belt all the time, it will hold my belly up and relieve some pressure. He also said they will keep a close eye on my cervix to make sure the pressure doesn't make me start dilating. So far...so good. I am having a severe rapid heartbeat off and on throughout the day and he thinks it is from the amount of blood flow from the babies, there is a chance I will need to get on meds to slow my heartbeat down, we will just see how that goes. He said they looked perfect again and did say Dr. Grogan was in charge and bed rest starting next week-end is for real. I would rather take every precaution right now. Jeff and I were very excited today, each week we hold our breath, it is hard not to brace yourself for what may happen. God is so amazing and is listening to every one's prayers so thank you for all the prayers and thoughts. Please keep praying as the last part of this journey will be trying on everyone.

God is amazing, isn't He. I'm so glad that your appointment went well, and you're doing the right thing by slowing down now. As hard as it will be, it's for the best. Great idea getting the laptop.

Katie, I know how the thought of not being able to hold your first born must hurt, but, keep in mind, three months is a very short time to sacrifice when you think of the blessings to follow. Just think, in three months you will have 4 wanting to sit on your lap. I continue to pray for your little family. Thanks for sharing your weekly reports, it helps us to know how to pray for you each day. With much love......
