Moving right along...

Well another appointment down and I am officially done visiting the offices of Atlanta Perinatal so that is great! Today's appointment went well. I haven't been feeling well over the past 24 hours, I have been very sick to my stomach and was contracting a lot yesterday, for several hours they were the painful contractions every 10-11 minutes. I took the terbutaline and it seemed to slow things down but I did decide to pack our bags last night just in case. I was supposed to be done with the cervical checks but since I was contracting so much they did a measurement today and my cervix was 2.5, so definitely changing but it was OK. I asked Dr. K how to know when to go in and when to let them go, he really didn't give me a good answer but said that last night with my contractions 10 minutes apart I should have been at Labor and Delivery getting evaluated. He has put me back on the terbutaline and wants me to take it till Monday the 1st, I agree, I want another good week with this baby inside. He also said to take it easy next week so we can make it till the 2nd. So back to the shaky, light headed feeling to add to it all - very worth it though. And honestly my cerclage hurts so bad I don't think I can keep the pace I did this week, the heavier the baby gets the more it hurts me and it is that type of pain that brings tears to your eyes. Now for the good stuff, the baby looked perfect, both on ultra sound and on the NST scan. Today the baby measured 6lbs 11 oz and 37 weeks, 1 day so he/she has slowed down a tiny bit since I have been more active. They guessed by my induction the baby should be around 7 and a half lbs, we will see how accurate that all is! The nurse called me yesterday and set up everything for the induction, I have an actual time to arrive and everything - boy did that make all of this feel very real!! It is hard to believe how little time we have left, I am very ready. My contractions send this ripple of fear through me every time and I can't seem to accept that it is OK to contract right now, I still have that horrible fear that it will lead to the events it lead to last time. I just keep telling myself I am just about 36 weeks, how amazing! I originally bargained for 32 weeks so look how awesome we are doing!! I just keep asking God to fill my heart with so much peace and not so much fear.
Anyways, that is all I have to report today, I am laying here with my feet up and my body is screaming thank you! I have hardly sat down this entire week, I did enjoy the freedom! I see Dr. Grogan Wednesday and the doctors appointments are officially over with!! I am happy it is a holiday week coming up and we are so busy with fun and relaxing things. I am looking forward to seeing family and spending time with family. I will keep everyone updated as promised!

Yay for a great report! I know it has to be crazy for you mentally right now - the contractions that for SOOO long you were supposed to hate and fear are now the one thing you can't wait to start happening so you can have this special baby. You both are so strong and I continue to send prayers and happy thoughts your way!

BTW - how is Jeff doing?

Katie, remember, fear is not from God, so everytime it comes creeping in, rebuke it in the name of Jesus.
Remember that cheer, "you can do it, you can do it, you can do it, you can", that is what is going through my head right now for you. Because you can do it. God wants you to have peace, it is a gift from Him, so accept it (as hard as it is) and enjoy this time.
I thank God for your wonderful report and how the baby is growing and the excitment I hear through your words. You GO Girl!
Still praying.............
